- Note to Self:
Out: Dean For America
In: Dio For America
- Pixies Tour Officially A Go
Old news, i know, but i've ben slack in updating and this link was in the To Publish list. Anyway-- what can I say-- I'm psyched.
- Dance's Biggest Names Set For Ultra Festival
Holy moly, peep the line up for this March 6 festival at Miami's Bayfront Park: The Chemical Brothers, Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Sasha, John Digweed, Junkie XL, Plastikman, The Rapture, LCD Soundsystem, Josh Wink, Goldie and 2many djs-- among others. I'm not the world's biggest "dance" music fan, but I'd go to that in a heartbeat.
- Even Without Cee-Lo, Goodie Mob Won't 'Stop'
A Cee-Lo-less Goodie Mob will return on April 27 with the mean-spirited titled One Monkey Don't Stop No Show. Click on the album title to pre-order and/or click Cee-Lo Green Is the Soul Machine to pr-order Cee-Lo's next album, which is due on March 2.
- Slayer, Priest, Slipknot Set For Ozzfest
Devil Horns Up!!! This year's line-up: Ozzy Osbourne, Slayer, a reunited Judas Priest and Slipknot headlining the second stage.
Warped Tour Sets Lineup, Itinerary
There's just no way that I am going to list out and provide Amazon links to all the bands playing the Warped Tour this summer. Suffice to say, if you like modern punk you'll be a happy camper. Click the above link for full details.
- Chuck D Backs New Hip-Hop Network
Coming soon to a cable/satellite outlet near you-- the Real Hip-Hop Network-- a hip-hop video station backed by Chuck D and some media muckety-mucks. I imagine this means more videos from the likes of El-P, Dialated Peoples and The Roots and less interchangeable videos featuring guys in basketball jerseys hanging out with girls in bikinis.
- No, Seriously, What The Fuck Is Happening?
A nice little rant from The VH-1 Best Week Ever Blog about the prolifiration of completely useless DVD sets. The product that set 'em off?? What's Happening (The Complete First Season) (though they also shoot some righteous fire at whomever it is that thought anyone in the world needed an Arli$$ collection.
